GIVING THANKS                       BY GIVING BACK

On Thanksgiving Day, The Peace Meal Project hosted a very special gathering of family and friends.  In the morning, we made beautiful blankets to donate to Project Linus and in the afternoon we prepared and enjoyed a bountiful potluck Thanksgiving dinner, complete with all the traditional trimmings. It was a joyful Thanksgiving celebration!

The mission of Project Linus is two-fold:

1. ~ To provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”

All Past Projects

Project Linus is a non-profit organization that provides new, handmade blankets to children, ages 0-18, who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.  Blankets are collected locally and distributed to children in hospitals, shelters, social service agencies, or anywhere that a child might be  in need of a big hug.

2. ~ To provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
